Five Things You Must Do in Nashville

1.Take a Stroll down Broadway

If you decide to vacation in Nashville, you have to visit the iconic street that is Broadway. Located in downtown Nashville, this street is the home of great food and even better music. The buzzing of people hustling from bar to bar, listening to live music, brings an energy that is bound to put a spring in your step.  Neon signs light the streets, making your curiosity go wild and the sounds of laughter, music and dancing can be heard from every restaurant as you walk the sidewalks and take in the excitement. This part of Nashville is a great area to enjoy a drink on a rooftop patio, or sitting next to the band, along with a group of friends. 2. The Grand Ole Opry

If you visit Nashville and you didn’t see the Grand Ole Opry, did you even go to Nashville?

This historic landmark has showcased country music’s biggest names- Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Keith Urban... The Opry is the heart and home of country music and the place where old and new generations of artists join to perform and connect over their love for country music. The Opry offers backstage tours that gives you a better appreciation for the history and values of the Opry and it takes you behind the scenes of how this iconic stage operates. You’ll get to visit the dressing rooms, the family room and even stand on the stage and inside the famous Grand Ole Opry Circle, which so many country artists have only dreamed of performing in.  If you have the opportunity to see a show at this beautiful venue, I highly recommend it. You will be able to experience 8-12 different artists, some well known and some making their Opry debut. The Grand Ole Opry holds so much history and is a must-see for any country music fan.

3. The Bluebird Cafe

This iconic restaurant is known as the mecca of country music and has been a stepping stone for country music artists, including Taylor Swift, to launch their careers and find success as musicians. Inside, is an intimate space filled with tables and church pews, twinkling lights and performers awaiting their moment to shine. Many artists dream of playing at the Bluebird, and many people travel far and wide to fulfill their dream of listening to a show at this beautiful cafe. If you visit Nashville, this spectacular piece of music history is a must-see for anyone that enjoys a variety of music and a very unique listening experience.

4. East Nashville

Located away from the business of downtown Nashville, this trendy area is home to an array of murals, shops and delicious restaurants awaiting to be explored. Beautiful paintings can be found around every corner. If you get the chance to spend an afternoon in this part of town, wander around and discover the spectacular hidden works of art. East Nashville is home to many critically acclaimed restaurants and cafes, so be sure to stop in and taste what this city has to offer. The Donut Distillery, is a cafe that creates mouth watering mini donuts (no they are not gluten-free… yes I still ate them) and is also the site of the East Nashville mural- both of which I highly recommend experiencing.

From the unique artwork, trendy and hip boutiques, thrift shops and restaurants, East Nashville is sure to spark joy in anyone who visits it.
